    American Career College

    • 64,000 square feet, 16 modern classrooms, and nine well-equipped labs make up the newest campus in the American Career College system in Ontario, California.

      Established in 1978 as the American College of Optics and incorporated to be specifically devoted to the optical dispensing profession, it wasn't until 1990 that the founders saw an opportunity to expand its curriculum to include additional specialized allied health programs, including pharmacy technician. The name was officially changed in 1993 to American Career Colleges to reflect the broader curriculum, and the college continues to expand with the offering of two associate's of occupational sciences degrees--respiratory therapy and surgical technology.

      The Career Services Department at American Career Colleges is similar to the one at Everest College. The department has a staff of full-time employees offering services ranging from teaching of interviewing skills to providing job leads to career planning.
