Applicants to Pepperdine University must complete an online application for admission. The application consists of three sections, which must be filled out entirely. The university also requires additional material before it will consider your application for admission. Required materials include official high school transcripts, a letter of recommendation from a teacher or high-school faculty member familiar with your academic aptitude, a letter of recommendation from a friend or colleague and SAT or ACT scores. Students who may be transferring to Pepperdine must also have official college transcripts sent to the admissions office.
Application to the graduate school at Pepperdine University is similar to other graduate school programs' admissions processes. Applicants must complete an online application and pay a nonrefundable $55 application fee. One official transcript from each college and university you have attended must also be submitted. Three letters of recommendation must also be sent to the graduate admissions office. One of these letters must be from a personal source and the other two from academic sources. Scores from the graduate record examination (GRE) must be sent directly to the school. The university also requires that students provide a writing sample in the form of a senior thesis or research paper. Students applying to the school's graduate program in screen and television writing must also submit a resume, copy of a script and a statement of purpose indicating your intent to pursue writing as a vocation.
Pepperdine's law school has its own set of admission requirements. The law school requires the submission of an application, along with a $60 application fee. The law school also requires a resume, a personal statement and a secondary statement indicated how the student's application represents his response to Christian missions. Official transcripts and two letters of recommendation must be submitted as well. Students applying for the school's master of laws (LL.M.) program in dispute resolution must already have the standard Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree before being considered for admission.
