Colleges in the Florida panhandle are near Alabama and cities like Pensacola and Panama City. The University of West Florida offers associate, bachelor's, master's, specialist and doctoral degrees at its Pensacola campus. UWF has programs in business, music, engineering and education. Northwest Florida State College, nearby in Niceville, offers associate degrees in arts and science, bachelor's degrees in nursing and education, certificate programs and continuing education courses.
Florida State University is in Tallahassee along Interstate 10 near the Georgia line and the Apalachicola National Forest. Undergraduate programs include various arts and sciences, business, education and communication, among others in 16 colleges. The college also offers graduate programs, such as master's and doctoral degrees, in business, law and nursing, as well as specialist degrees and online programs. The college also has a campus in Panama City.
A couple of colleges are in the Jacksonville area, near northeast Florida's beaches. The Art Institute of Jacksonville features programs in design, media arts, fashion and culinary arts. It's a branch of the Miami International University of Art & Design and is part of the Art Institutes, which have more than 40 sites in North America. Flagler College is in nearby St. Augustine and offers small classes in 10 departments, including art, business, education, English and science.
One of Florida's largest colleges in the University of Florida, located in Gainesville along Interstate 75. The university is made up of 16 colleges and offers more than 100 programs of study for undergraduate students studying business, various sciences, education, arts, law and nursing, among others. UF colleges also have more than 200 graduate programs for doctoral, master's and specialist degrees, including education, philosophy, arts and sciences and engineering.
