Bible Colleges in St. Louis

Bible colleges in St. Louis, Missouri, teach students about the principles of Christianity and focus on the teachings in the Bible. While non-secular academic programs are offered at some of these schools, many programs are available that prepare students to work in Christian schools, churches and with missionary organizations. Students at these schools may also be required to attend chapel or church services during the week.
  1. Concordia Seminary

    • Concordia Seminary is located in St. Louis, Missouri and offers both master's and doctoral degree programs for prospective pastors, clergy and deacons. Graduates of the program are prepared for positions within the Lutheran Church. As of 2011, the tuition is $585 per credit, and the student population is about 472. Online courses are available for students with professional or personal obligations. The Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools accredits Concordia Seminary.

    Brookes Bible Institute

    • The Brookes Bible Institute offers a Christocentric education that focuses on teachings of the Bible and students' relationship with God. Established in 1909, the Institute was named after James H. Brookes, a religious writer and pastor. Students enrolled at Brookes Bible Institute learn about spiritual living and practicing their faith. Opportunities are available for students to pursue associate's degree programs in ministerial studies or biblical studies. As of 2011, the school is not currently accredited, but is pursuing accreditation through the Association for Biblical Higher Education.

    Gateway College of Evangelism

    • The Gateway College of Evangelism offers a number of associate's and bachelor's degree programs in children's ministry, church music, biblical studies, Christian education and pastoral studies. Students who are unable to attend courses at the St. Louis campus can take online courses. The college was founded in 1966 and is certified through the Missouri Coordinating Board for Higher Education. As of 2011, the tuition for a full-time student was about $4,000 per semester, including room and board.

    Saint Louis Christian College

    • Saint Louis Christian College offers educational opportunities in preaching ministry, intercultural and urban missions, biblical studies, preaching ministry, Christian theology, and church leadership and management. The school is accredited through the Association for Biblical Higher Education. As of 2011, the school has an enrollment of about 330 students, and tuition for the academic school year is about $26,000 per year. The college also has numerous athletic teams, including basketball, volleyball, baseball, cross country and soccer.
