George Mason University's psychology department offers a bachelor of arts degree program in psychology in addition to bachelor of science degrees in psychology and neuroscience. Students must complete the university general education requirements plus 36 credit hours in the psychology field. Students at GMU pursue general education courses in fields like oral and written communication, quantitative reasoning and global understanding. Indiana University's Kokomo (IUK) campus also offers the bachelor of arts in psychology degree. IUK requires students to complete 120 credit hours to finish the degree program. Students are required to complete 64 general education credits, and students also pursue 19 hours of electives as part of the program. The remaining 37 credit hours consist of 13 required credit hours in General Psychology, History and Systems of Psychology, Planning Your Psychology Career, Statistical Techniques, Methods of Experimental Psychology and a senior seminar as well. The remainder of the courses are selected from groups of potential electives in the field, including Behavioral Neuroscience, Psychology of Childhood and Adolescence, and Psychology of Personality.
