The University, founded in 1937 by George Pepperdine, has an 830-acre campus and is situated in Malibu, California. A total of 7,700 students attend the university, split into five schools: the School of Law, the Graduate School of Education and Psychology, the Graziadio School of Business and Management, and the School of Public Policy. Thousands of visitors come to Pepperdine each year for the university's Bible lectures; 2011 will be the 68th year for these lectures.
The Covenant College in Georgia and the Whitworth University in Washington are both affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in America. The Houghton College in New York has a Wesleyan Church affiliation. Another is the Gordon College in Massachusetts, a non-denominational institution.
