Established in 1959, New England Bible College works in close partnership with area churches. It strives to help students become spiritual leaders through curriculum, Christian service and skill development. Tuition is low, and financial aid and housing are available. Students are required to go to chapel every week.

Bates College, founded in 1855, is a liberal arts college in Lewiston. A wide variety of degree programs are available, including a bachelor's degree in religious studies. The school offers 65 religious courses offered. Financial aid and on-campus student housing are available. Bates Chapel, located on campus, holds Catholic and Protestant services every Sunday.
