How to Cite a Reference in PowerPoint

Imagine you've come across the exact piece of information you needed to complete your term paper. Unfortunately, you found it in a PowerPoint presentation online. You know that it is critical to correctly cite all sources or face charges of academic plagiarism, but how do you cite this? Luckily, the American Psychological Association lays out clear guidelines for the citation of PowerPoint presentations.

Instructions

      List the author or creator of the PowerPoint with the last name first, followed by a comma, followed by a first initial and period.

      List the title of the presentation. The title should appear in italics. In accordance with APA style, only the first letter of the first word should be capitalized, as well as the first letter of any proper nouns.
