Go to the bottom of each slide, below the picture or quote included in the presentation, and add a source line. Type the word "Source" followed by a colon and the full URL link to the webpage. When using Microsoft PowerPoint, the URL will automatically hyperlink to the page.
Include verbal citations of the information shown in your presentation. For example, verbally cite the information as "The Los Angeles Times reports that the air quality is slowly improving." Do not keep repeating the same phrase when verbally citing information. Your audience may find this to be repetitive and irritating.
Insert the page number following important key information taken from a book or journal. Include this number in parentheses.
Type the last name of the author or title of a book from which information was quoted or paraphrased in parentheses. Include this after the quote from the book.
Create a new page, and name it "Works Cited." This will be the last slide of your presentation. Cite each source in MLA or APA format, depending on the required format for the presentation. Have the citations listed with numbers or bullets.
