Write the author's last name and the year of the speech to provide an in-text citation of the speaker within a formal paper: For example, "The most honorable thing that a man can do is be honorable in everything he does" (Brown, 2010).
Write the quotation you want to reference and put the author's name in parentheses for an in-text MLA citation. For example, "The overwhelming sentiment of the country is to embrace change now" (Brown).
