Write the author's last name, a comma and then the author's first name followed by a period. For example, a speech by Steve Jones would be written "Jones, Steve."
Follow with the title of the speech, if available. Write the speech title in quotation marks or with italics when possible. End the title with a period.
Name the location where the speech was presented. If the speech was given over the Internet, you could simply write "Online" and the name of the website to indicate that this is where the information was accessed. For example, "College Scholar Conference. University of Florida. Online." Otherwise, you could write the name of the institution, as well as the name of any conference or event that the speech was presented. For example, "College Scholar Conference. University of Florida. Hilton Hotel, Gainesville, FL."
Provide the web address where the information was accessed. This includes the full URL to the exact transcribed speech or video. For example, "Available: http://www.URL.com/speech."
Include the date the speech was given. If the exact date is not available, include the year the speech was presented or published on the Internet. The speech citation would be written as "Jones, Steve. 'College Scholar Conference.' University of Florida. Hilton Hotel, Gainesville, FL. Online. Available: http://www.URL.com/speech."
