Consult encyclopedias, journals and newsletters at your local or school library. The citation information for print media is typically located in the back of the book before the Index, and it is known as the bibliography.
Search for information using the Internet. Only use sources from sites with domain names ending in .edu, .gov or .org. These sites tend to be more credible than .com sites and blog sites. To get a list of only sites with the .edu domain name, filter your search results by adding "site:.edu" at the end of your search keywords. Credible online essays provide a list of references and resources usually at the bottom of the article.
Make bibliography cards by writing down the author's name, title of article, title of publication, edition, publisher location, publisher, published date and date of access for online sources.
