The Perini Green Weekend Scholarship Foundation provides scholarship awards to graduating high school seniors who plan to major in civil engineering at an accredited college or university in southern Nevada. The Nevada Society of Professional Engineers sponsors a scholarship award for civil engineering students who are enrolled in the undergraduate program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Scholarship awards of $2,500 are available for students who demonstrate both academic achievement and a commitment to a career in civil engineering. Applicants must also demonstrate their knowledge of the civil engineering field through an original research essay.

The Howdy Wells/Nevada Contractors Association Scholarship is available to juniors and seniors who are enrolled in a civil engineering degree program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The program grants an award of $1,000 per semester to qualifed students who plan to pursue a career in the construction industry. Applicants are selected based on their academic record, leadership skills, personal character, extracurricular participationi, letters of recommendation, and financial need.

The Nevada NASA Space Grant Scholarship Program provides scholarship awards to civil engineering students who are enrolled in an accredited degree program in the state of Nevada. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and must not be receiving any other federal funding, including loans and scholarships. Selected undergraduates are eligible to receive up to $5,000 per academic year and awards are granted on the basis of academic merit, career goals, letters of recommendation, and extracurricular activities. Students belonging to under-represented populations, such as ethnic minorities and women, are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Robert A. Swaddell Memorial Scholarship is available to civil engineering students who are enrolled or planning to enroll at Nevada State College. The program provides a $2,000 award to selected students who are enrolled in at least twelve credit hours and are residents of Pahrump or Henderson, Nevada. Applicants must have a minimum 2.75 GPA and must be able to demonstrate financial need through the Student Aid Report portion of their Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
