National Engineering Scholarships

Although a career in engineering can be lucrative, a college education can be very expensive. Unfortunately, many engineering scholarships are limited to students attending a specific college or students who are residents of a particular state or county. However, there are some scholarships that are open to engineering students throughout the United States.
  1. ASME Scholarships

    • The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) offers a variety of scholarships to students pursuing an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering. The Kenneth Andrew Roe Scholarship is available in the amount of $10,000, as of August 2010, to a junior or senior mechanical engineering student who is a U.S. citizen and a member of ASME. The Melvin R. Green Scholarship is available in the amount of $4,000 to a member of ASME who is in his junior or senior year, and the Garland Duncan Scholarship is available in the amount of $4,500.
