The National Institute for Labor Relations Research offers the Future Teachers Scholarship to undergraduate and graduate education majors who are enrolled in an accredited college or university in the U.S. Applicants must demonstrate academic achievement, an understanding of the principles of unionism, potential to succeed academically and an interest the work of the NILRR. Selected students receive a nonrenewable award of $1,000.

The American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence sponsors the Teach and Inspire Scholarship Program which provides education funding to students who are preparing to seek their teacher certification. The program provides education students with a full tuition award to be used towards obtaining their teacher credentials. It also provides a $1,000 monthly stipend while they are involved in the licensure process. In exchange, recipients must agree to a three-year period of service in an underserved school district in Florida, South Carolina or Mississippi.

The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics sponsors a scholarship award for students who plan to teach mathematics at the secondary school level. The program provides awards of $10,000 to students enrolled in their sophomore year who will pursue certification in secondary school mathematics. Applicants must be current NCTM members and they are required to submit a proposal detailing their financial need and how the award will be used.

The Lilliam and Samuel Sutton Education Scholarship is awarded to minority students who are pursuing degrees in education at accredited colleges and universities in the United States. Applicants may be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree programs and must demonstrate academic achievement. Scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $2,000 and, while NAACP membership is not required, it is strongly encouraged.
