According to the Jewish Vocational Service website, the eligibility requirement is a 2.7 grade point average in high school, which is lower than the grade point average than most grant programs require.

The Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts administers several grant programs. These grants are only available with an invitation from this organization. The organization focuses on students whose families live in local cities such as Springfield, Longmeadow or Hampden. Many of these grants require the applicant to demonstrate service to the Jewish community in the Springfield area.

Grants the organization provide include a college grant for a student who does not qualify for other academic support because of life problems. Although this program is for Chicago and Illinois residents, there are local chapters of this organization around the United States that offer grants to college students in their specific area.
