The Patrick Kerr Skateboard Scholarship awards four scholarships each year to high school students involved in skateboarding. This program honors Patrick Kerr, a skateboarding activist and honor roll student, by awarding one $5,000 scholarship and three $1,000 scholarships to selected young people. To qualify, students must be seniors in high school with a minimum 2.5 GPA or higher who are enrolling in an accredited two- or four-year college program. All applicants must also be skateboarders, and those who have a verifiable record of actively promoting skateboarding in their community receive additional consideration. Applicants must also submit high school transcripts, two letters of recommendation and a personal essay detailing how skateboarding has positively affected their lives.

The Walmart Foundation offers a number of scholarship programs for high school students, such as the Sam Walton Community Scholarship, in order to help young people pursue their educational goals. This program awards $3,000 to graduating high school seniors who demonstrate financial need and maintain at least a 2.5 GPA. Employees or children of Walmart employees are ineligible for this award.
Walmart makes two scholarships available for associates of Walmart and Sam's Club as well as their dependents. The Walmart Associate Scholarship awards $3,000 to seniors with a 2.5 GPA or higher with financial need, while the Walmart Higher Reach Scholarship is a $3,000 scholarship given to Walmart and Sam's Club associates who've been out of school for at least a year.
Dependents of Walmart and Sam's Club associates may also be eligible for the Walton Family Foundation Scholarship, which pays $13,000 over four years. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must prove financial need and receive a minimum of 22 on the ACT or 1030 on the SAT.

KFC selects a number of qualified students each year to be part of the KFC Scholars Program. This program awards scholarships to students with financial need who have plans to earn a degree at a public, in-state school. The scholarship is available to graduating seniors with a minimum GPA of 2.75. Awards may be as high as $5,000 a year, with the potential to receive as much as $20,000 over the course of a four-year education.
