High School Golf Scholarships for Girls

Getting a golf scholarship is a difficult. Division I schools can grant only 4.5 scholarships each year to men and 6 to women, and these aren't full scholarships. Golf is an "equivalency" sport, which means the scholarships are divided and distributed to all members of the team. Division II schools get fewer scholarships, and scholarships aren't permitted for Division III. Students seeking more scholarship aid should look outside their colleges or universities.
  1. The Women's Western Golf Foundation

    • The Women's Western Golf Foundation offers scholarships to high school girls who are American citizens and plan to attend an accredited university. Applicants must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Recipients are chosen based on academic achievement, character, financial need and involvement in golf. Skill level in the sport is not a consideration. Scholarship winners receive $2,000 yearly, which may be renewed annually if the student maintains a 3.0 grade-point average and continues to have financial need.
