According to UCLA's website, you must be an exceptional athlete in your local area, region or state to be considered for a scholarship. You should begin applying for a scholarship early in your high school career, no later than your junior year. UCLA prefers prospective golf scholarship recipients to apply for using its recruiting form. You must also take a college preparatory course load to meet the school's core course requirements.

Georgia Tech is a NCAA Division I school and member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Its golf program promotes development of the whole person, according to Georgia Tech's website. Georgia Tech's athletic department personnel support athletes' success in their academic, as well as athletic, careers. Southern Florida is a NCAA Division II school with a golf program for both men and women. The men have won 11 NCAA Division II National Championships, while the women have won four. Many individual players have earned awards. Southern Florida looks for disciplined athletes committed to their sport.
