Although it may not be as well known as the other two schools, Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan has offered the PGA-accredited Golf Management Program since 1975. The school's golf program leads to a Bachelor of Science in Professional Golf Management (PGM). Ferris State has its own 18-hole golf course on campus that's used as a part of the PGM program. About half of the required 125 hours to complete the PGM degree focus on business. The remaining PGM classes are in golf course management, electives and general studies.

Mississippi State University began offering a Bachelor of Science in Professional Golf Management (PGM) in 1985. The school features a PGA-sanctioned 18-hole golf course as a part of the program. Penn State University has offered a Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Park and Tourism Management (RPTM) since 1985. The degree offers a specialization in golf management, which features a 16-month program where a certified member of the PGA of America supervises a student. Penn State's RPTM degree requires a student to take a variety of courses in business, turf management, hospitality and tourism. Students pursuing a golf management degree at Penn State must complete 120 hours of credit.
