This golf college originated in San Diego, California, and now offers locations in the sourthern states of Florida and South Carolina. The academy offers a two-year program in golf management and in becoming an accredited golf professional. Eastern Kentucky University (EMU) is one of only a few four-year colleges in the United States that offer Professional Golf Management (PGM) programs with the Professional Golf Association, or PGA. PGM programs are an option within EMU's College of Business and Technology where students must complete 41 of a total 137 credit hours in specific courses related to the golf industry. Students must also pass a PGA playing test to graduate.

The same Georgia city that hosts the famed PGA Master's Tournament is home to a college that offers golf programming. Augusta Technical College, offers a 98-credit Golf Course Management degree. This typically takes students about six quarters to achieve.
