Filipino American Fund

• The Filipino American Fund focuses primarily on providing health and social services to Filipino Americans, such as immigrant assistance and employment, youth and senior programs. However, it also has established a collaborative project with the Asian Pacific Fund, to provide financial assistance to Filipino American students seeking scholarships.

  Donors and sponsors promote their charitable goals by establishing specific scholarships under the Filipino American Fund, such as: the Banatao Family Filipino American Education Fund for students pursuing a career in engineering, physical sciences or biological sciences; the Lapiz Family Scholarship for students who are farm workers or children of farm or migrant workers; and the Maria Yuchengco Memorial Journalism Scholarship for students pursuing a career in journalism.

FAHSI College Scholarship Program

• The Filipino American Human Services, Inc. (FAHSI) offers the FAHSI College Scholarship Program (FCSP) for students of Filipino descent pursuing higher education. FAHSI awards the Frederick and Demi Seguritan Scholarship to one Filipino/Filipino-American graduating high school student demonstrating passion for service to the Filipino American community. Eligible high school seniors must maintain good academic standing, have a passion for business (taking a major in business is not required), be active in the Filipino community through participation in FAHSI's youth program or a high school Filipino club, demonstrate financial need and reside in the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut Tri-State Area.

American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Scholarship for Filipino Accounting Students

• The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), a national professional organization for certified public accountants, awards AICPA Scholarships for Minority Accounting Students for full-time undergraduate students majoring in accounting. It offers the AICPA Scholarship for Filipino Accounting Students as administered by the National Council of Philippine American Canadian Accountants (NCPACA), a non-profit professional organization represented by 11 accounting professional organizations from major cities in the United States and Canada.

  Potential applicants should contact the nearest Filipino Accounting Society to get the complete requirements. The 11 member chapters of NCPACA include the: Philippine Certified Public Accountants of Greater Chicago; Illinois Philippines American Association of Accountants (Texas); Philippine American Society of CPA's (California); Texas Society of Philippine American CPA's; Association of Filipino American Accountants (New York); Association of Filipino American Accountants (New Jersey); Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (California); Filipino American Association of Accountants (Washington); Association of Filipino Canadian Accountants (Canada); International Society of Young Filipino Accountants (California); and Association of Filipino Accountants (Washington, D.C.)
