The Hispanic College Fund awards scholarships worth up to $10,000. The organization awarded $3 million in scholarships to students in 2009 alone. Students must be must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents with a 3.0 minimum GPA. The business, health, science,and hospitality/hotel management majors can apply to scholarships. Students must have at least one parent of Hispanic heritage but can be of any ethnic background to apply for the science scholarship.
The Presidential Series Scholarships are awarded to freshman students who scored at least a 970 on the SAT or a 21 on the ACT. They must also maintain a 3.0 GPA and have a 15-hour course load during the semester. The scholarship is renewable as long as these standards are met every semester.

Athletic boosters and former athletes usually fund these scholarships. The school has 19 scholarships for athletes, including football players and trainers. Because 10 of the scholarships are endowed, student-athletes can renew them if they meet the requirements.
The Graduate Studies department offers assistantships and scholarships for students in all majors. The assistantships require students to assist professors in classes. The duties include grading coursework and conducting research. Doctoral assistants can earn $15,000 and master's degree assistants can earn $7,500 every academic year. The graduate school programs include chemistry, business, English, and agribusiness majors.

The College of Arts & Sciences requirements vary greatly for each scholarship, but eligible majors include radio, music, history, communications, fine art and theater. Scholarships are available for students who need childcare and money for books only. The endowed scholarships are renewable for up to $7,500 a year while many of the other scholarships award $500 to $3,000 to eligible students.
