Culinary Food Service Hospitality Scholarships

There are several degree programs and career opportunities available for individuals interested in culinary arts, food service and hospitality services. Students can enroll in school programs to become chefs, bakers, restaurant owners, restaurant managers or product suppliers. They can also seek out scholarships from several private and public organizations in the field.
  1. American Restaurant Scholarship

    • The American Restaurant Scholarship is awarded by the James Beard Foundation Scholarship Program to one individual each year. The scholarship is available to high school seniors or graduates who plan on attending a culinary school. The scholarship is awarded in the amount of $4,000, as of 2010.

    National Restaurant Association Scholarships

    • The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) awards students scholarships of up to $2,500 each year, as of 2010. Scholarship are funded through donations from restaurants and food-service establishments. Educators in the restaurant field can apply for $1,750 scholarships from NRAEF as well.

    IDDBA Scholarships

    • The International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association (IDDBA) offers academic scholarships ranging from $250 to $1,000 per semester, as of 2010. To qualify for the scholarships, students must be enrolled in a program in culinary arts, baking or pastry arts, food science, food marketing or food business.
