Twenty $20,000 Cream of the Crop scholarships for four-year degrees in Hotel and Restaurant Management are offered by this Institute to aspiring culinarians with outstanding academic and leadership skills. This scholarship is renewable at $5,000 per year, and scholars must have a GPA of 3.2 every year to renew the scholarship. To be eligible to start with the Cream of the Crop Scholarship, a high school graduate must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Scholarships for lesser amounts are also available at this institution.

The American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation is a non-profit institution that has been a source of financial support for industry-related scholarships for over 50 years. AH&LEF offers two types of scholarships. One is for professional development of individuals working in hotels who want advancement by growing their skills, and another is for students currently enrolled in a degree program such as hotel and restaurant management. These scholarships have ranged from $500 to $5,000 and have been available at over a hundred schools across the country.

This foundation gives multiple scholarships to deserving students in two and one-year college programs in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hotel and Food Administration and Hotel and Resort Management. These scholarships are open to high school seniors who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents in Canada. The foundation itself does not accept applications. Deserving students may apply to schools in Canada that offer listed programs, and the heads of the departments of these schools submit their nominees for these scholarships to the foundation.
