Call the Educational Assessment Associates office at 202-363-9805 and select option #2. You will be transferred to the voice mail of Margo von Kaenel, the person in charge of guiding you through the registration process (as of April 2011). You must do this to register.
Leave a message with your home and work telephone numbers. Your call will be returned as soon as possible to schedule a date for your child to take the test and to select a test center near where you live (if available). Von Kaenel also will provide you with the URL address of the website to register for the SSAT. You must first schedule the date for the test to be able to register on the website.
Visit the website provided and register by filling out the required information. When prompted to enter the "Test Site Code #," use code "0210." Submit your payment information. The SSAT registration fee in Washington, D.C., is $110 as of April 2011. Payment methods accepted are Visa or MasterCard only.
Ensure that your child arrives for testing on the scheduled day. Your child should be there 10 minutes before the scheduled time and should have two #2 pencils, a good eraser, and snacks and drinks for two short breaks. The SSAT test will be provided to you at the test center you selected when scheduling and registering for the SSAT. However, you also can choose to have the test administered by Educational Assessment Associates for an extra fee.
