How to Prepare for the SSAT

The SSAT, or Secondary School Admission Test, is an integral part of the application process for most independent high schools in the United States and other parts of the world. According to the SSAT website, "The Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) is a multiple-choice aptitude test for students in grades 5-11. The test consists of verbal, quantitative (math) and reading comprehension sections." A portion of the test requires you to write about a specific topic, which tests your overall writing ability. If you are planning on going to an independent high school, early preparation for the SSAT is key.
