Submit your application for study within the CUNY system to the college or colleges of your choice. If you are a first-time applicant, or a student who is not applying for re-testing, the CUNY system will let you know of the date, time and location of your exam in writing.
Complete at least 20 hours of necessary test preparation if you are re-taking the CUNY test. Students who have taken the CUNY test before but need to re-take the test must prove that they have had study intervention in the form of either in-class workshops or private tutoring. If this applies to you, secure the proper documentation to present at a CUNY testing center.
Register individually for your exam by calling one of the CUNY Testing Offices directly and scheduling an appointment. Refer to the link listed in the Resource section below for the contact information for all of the CUNY Testing Offices.
Mail or hand deliver the proper documentation regarding your study intervention to the appropriate testing center.
