Use this bulletin board to show your students how much you love them. Use construction paper to fashion two large eyes and hang them on the top of the bulletin board. Cut pieces of red construction paper into apple shapes, one for each child in your class. Take a photo of each child and display the images on the apples. Hang the images underneath the eyes so that it looks as if the eyes are looking down on them. Title the board, "Apples of My Eye."
Reinforce the sound the letter "A" makes with this activity and bulletin board. On white paper, print upper- and lower-case block letter "A's." After discussing the sound the letter makes, cut apples in half and have children dip the halves in paint and press them onto the letters. Cut a large apple out of red construction paper and hang it in the center of the board. Display students' completed art projects around the apple and write, "A is for Apple" along the top of the board.
This bulletin board display is ideal to use in during the harvest season. From brown construction paper, create the shape of a large basket and attach it to the board. Have your students trace and cut out apple templates on green and red construction paper. On the apples, write the name of each student in your class and hang the apples on the board so it looks as if they are inside the basket. Print the title, "Bushel of Good Apples" on the board.
Keep track of good behavior in your preschool class with an apple tree bulletin board. Fashion a large tree on the bulletin board -- either draw it or cut it out of construction paper. Cut out apple shapes, write the name of each student inside an apple and staple them on the tree. At the end of the day, if children have exhibited good behavior, place a stamp on their apples. When a student's apple has 10 stamps on it, give her a reward for her good behavior -- a small prize from a prize box or extra play time, for example. Remove the filled apple and replace it with a new one to start the process over again.
