The NeighborHeart Program Quality of Life Grant is a privately funded grant for families of children with autism. Grants are typically between $100 to $500, although in special circumstances more than $500 may be considered. The money may be used for anything that improves the quality of life of the family. This can include therapy, membership fees, training, medical services and more.

This program is for up to $500 in grant funds to be given to applicants who have not received a Bureau of Autism Services Mini-Grant in previous years. These grants are Pennsylvania residents who have autism spectrum disorder, or are family members someone who has the disorder. This grant is only for those who are not currently receiving or enrolled in any family-support services, including waiver-funded services, services funded under individual support plans, family-driven support services, county-based funds or other similar services or funding, not including wraparound or early-intervention services. The grant may be used for respite or child care (including baby-sitting); summer camp programs; community programs; autism- or advocacy-related conferences; workshops or training opportunities; and memberships or admission fees to educational venues. It can also be used for home- or community-safety modifications/adaptations.

The National Autism Association Helping Hand Program is a nationwide grant program for families with autistic children under the age of 18 that are in dire financial need. The grants of up to $1,500 can be used only to pay for biomedical treatments, supplements (including vitamins) and therapy (including summer camp), which is paid directly to vendors for their services and products.
