The vision of the Lane Montessori School is "To be a Global Model for the education of children with autism spectrum disorders through the fusion of Montessori and ABA methods--to ensure our children thrive in society not just survive." They use a blended Montessori/ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) curriculum to "create a program that will bring out the best in each child." The founder of the school, Michelle Lane received a Premier's award in 2005 for designing the program. It is the first school in the world to have this blend and is a registered Canadian charitable organization.

Sundance Montessori School has been recognizing and meeting the developmental needs of it's student since 1989 and is designed so that each child can gain experiences that will help him or her develop a specific concept or skill while the teacher directs the child attention for maximum absorption of the materials. They also have a unique after-school peer model play group where neurologically typical children can play with children with autism spectrum disorders to teach age appropriate interaction skills.
