Bachman Academy assists students with learning disorders, such as attention deficit disorder, dyslexia, nonverbal learning disorder, dysgraphia and dyscalculia. Located in McDonald, Tennessee, Bachman serves students in grades six through 12, with an average teacher-student ratio of one to five. Students receive a state-recognized diploma though two course tracks: college preparation and career preparation. The college preparation program teaches independent living skills, a course that transitions students from high school to college, as well as the traditional courses required by the state. The career preparation program focuses on students interested in attending a technical school or apprenticeship. These students choose a focused learning plan in the areas of equine, horticulture, mechanics and woodworking. Bachman Academy also offers an optional Young Marines youth education and service program, which promotes a drug-free lifestyle.
Located in Jackson, Tennessee, The Bridge Academy serves students in grades six through 12 who have difficulties succeeding in the traditional classroom setting. The academy also accepts teenagers who have dropped out or are considering dropping out because of personal issues, learning disabilities or lack of credits. Once enrolled, students receive an individualized program based upon an initial evaluation. Each student has one-on-one sessions with instructors in the courses in which they have the greatest amount of difficulty.
Shenandoah Ranch Academy is a Christian boarding school that serves teenage boys ages 13 to 18 who "have had problems experimenting with drugs, sexual misconduct, a void of spiritual guidance, bad friendships and poor adult examples." The campus is located in Cleveland, Tennessee.
Shenandoah Haven is a Christian academy and is the female counterpart for the Shenandoah Ranch Academy. The campus is located in Cleveland, Tennessee, but is separate from the boy's academy. The goal of Shenandoah Haven is to help teenage girls who've fallen behind on class work to graduate on time. Students participate in devotions every night, attend a daily bible class and attend services at Shenandoah Baptist Church.
