CNA Schools in Arizona

According to the 2010-2011 edition of the Bureau of Labor Statistics' Occupational Outlook Handbook, job prospects for certified nursing assistants (CNAs) are projected to be excellent. However, in order to become a CNA, you must meet certain standards, which change according to state. Arizona requires that all CNAs pass manual and written tests, submit to a criminal background check and provide proof of completion of a training program.
  1. Nelson Academy

    • The Nelson Academy offers a 120-hour program for certified nursing assistants. The course is approved by the Arizona State Board of Nursing and prepares students to meet all state certification and licensing regulations. Nelson Academy has three different schedules so that students can pick to one which best fits their needs. Prospective CNAs can complete a full-time, weekday course in four weeks, or take an evening course which can be finished in six weeks. The academy also offers weekend-only classes which are completed in eight weeks. The program requires students complete clinical hours as well, which can also be scheduled for days, evenings or weekends. Tuition can be paid in installments, in advance or "when you can", as long as the amount is paid in full before graduation.
