New York Military Academy was founded in 1889 and was an all-boys school until 1975. Students in seventh through twelfth grade attend the school, which has a college acceptance rate of 100 percent. Seventeen varsity sports are offered, including boys and girls basketball, cross country, football, golf and rifle. Character, academics, athletics and leadership are emphasized in the curriculum. Student organizations include chess club, library advisory board, yearbook and student council. The campus is located on 120 acres and includes three dormitories, a gym, three swimming pools, athletic fields and many classroom buildings.

The mission of the Howe School in Indiana is to prepare youth for higher education while developing character and intellect for success in life. While the school accepts students of all faiths, it is affiliated with the Episcopal Church. This co-educational school educates students in fifth through twelfth grade. Athletic teams include tennis, soccer, cross country, volleyball, golf and baseball. Upper school classes are taught the disciplines of fine arts, languages, trade and industrial education, social studies, math, technology, physical education, science, religion and language arts. The school's JROTC program has earned the "Honor Unit with Distinction" designation. All upper school students are required to take the program's leadership, education and training classes.
