The Howe School is located at the northern tip of Indiana not far from Chicago, Detroit and Fort Wayne. Howe serves both boys and girls in grades five through 12. The academy separates students in grades five through eight from the high school students. Howe instructors expect their students to continue their education at a four-year university and currently 97 percent of graduating students go on to undergraduate study. Many students participate in the school's ROTC training program as they prepare for a career in the Armed Forces. Howe also offers several honor societies including NHS and the Cum Laude Society.
The Admiral Farragut Academy began in 1933. The academy was named after Admiral David Glasgow Farragut, the first U.S. Navy man to become an admiral. The school is located in St. Petersburg, Florida. Admiral Farragut Academy teaches boys and girls from first through 12th grade. All high school students must participate in a junior ROTC program designed to build character and discipline in the students. As of 2011, 99 percent of Admiral Farragut graduates go on to a college or university.
St. Catherine's Academy was founded in 1894 on the outskirts of Anaheim, California. St. Catherine's prides itself on providing a Catholic education with military discipline. St. Catherine's provides education for boys from kindergarten through eighth grade. The school expects its graduates to attend college-prep Catholic high schools. Students at the school participate in music programs, junior ROTC programs and leadership camps.
Oak Ridge is located in Oak Ridge, North Carolina. The academy was founded in 1850 by a several town residents looking to promote education with a military focus. The school provides education for both girls and boys of high school age. Oak Ridge also hosts a number of summer camps focusing on leadership development. Boys can participate in basketball, football, golf, baseball and soccer while girls can partake in volleyball, cross country, basketball and track. More than 99 percent of Oak Ridge graduates go on to a four-year university.
