The Pharm D. program at the University of Toledo, located in Toledo, Ohio, requires a Bachelor of Science degree before beginning the graduate part of the program. The college has been open for eight years and occupies two facilities on the campus. The program provides a variety of extracurricular activities in which students are encouraged to take part. The college of pharmacy provides the educational background and positive patient-care demeanor to create the best pharmacists it can.
The McWhorter School of Pharmacy at Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., has been creating pharmacists for almost 85 years. It is a Christian institution that values discovery, patient health, tradition, relationships, achievement and professionalism in its students. Although a prior degree is not required to enter the program, the PCAT is required. A BA or BS degree, however, can waive the requirement for an ACT or SAT.
