Computer Programing Degrees

Computer programmers are usually responsible for converting detailed sets of instructions into a computer language, also referred to as coding. Computer programmers also repair, update, expand and modify existing programs. These programs educate and train students to obtain a computer programming degree and begin their career as a computer programmer.

    • Pittsburgh Technical Institute has a computer programming degree program that leads to an Associate in Science degree at graduation. Students can complete this program in 24 months of study which includes a three-month internship in the industry. Students will take classes in areas that include database systems, game development, internet programming, data structures and algorithms, rapid applications development and object-oriented programming and testing.

    Stevens Henager College

    • Stevens Henager College has an associate's degree program in computer programming that can be completed in 20 months on a regular schedule or 15 month on an accelerated schedule. This program prepares students for entry-level careers in areas such as internet programming, database design and administration and software application development. Students in this program are prepared to take certification exams in areas such as DBA, JAVA II, Microsoft ASP and DBD.

    • Atlanta Technical College offers an associate's degree program in computer information systems with a computer programming concentration.
