Purchase posters that display photographs of eagles and hang them in the classroom. You could hang one poster on the inside of the entrance door, one on a cabinet door and one in an empty corner of the classroom.
Make use of the classroom's vertical space by attaching a hanging eagle sculpture from the ceiling, placing eagle wind chimes near the front door or even creating your own papier-mache eagle to hang. These may require some of your time or money, but will add a special touch to the decor.
Assign an in-class artistic project to create bald eagle toilet paper rolls. Collect your toilet paper rolls or ask students to contribute theirs. Print out eagle templates, one for the body and head of the eagle and two for the wings that will attach to the sides of the toilet paper roll. Distribute glue, toilet paper rolls, scissors and printed templates to the students and show them how to complete the project by cutting and gluing the pieces together. When the glue dries, place the eagles on top of cabinets and bookshelves within the classroom.
Purchase an eagle statue or an eagle stuffed animal to place in a prominent location in the classroom, and make it the class mascot. You may wish to place it at your desk or at one side of the main chalkboard. Work with the students to come up with a good name.
Assign a homework project for students to look at pictures of eagles in the encyclopedia or online, and create a piece of eagle-themed artwork. Create a collage of the artwork on a wall or bulletin board, or place them throughout the classroom.
