How to Cite a Pamphlet in a Paper

Writing a well-researched paper on any subject may require that you use a variety of sources. Potential sources include the Internet, academic journals or newspaper articles. When researching information on a specific subjects, pamphlets may also provide valuable information, which you can cite as you would a book.

      Select "Insert" on the toolbar and select "Footnote" or "Endnote" according to your preferences. A footnote will create a list of citations at the bottom of each page and an endnote will create a list of citations at the end of the paper.

      Write the name of the pamphlet's author. Write it as Last Name, First name and place a period after the name. For example, if Bryan Frazier wrote the pamphlet, write it as "Frazier, Bryan." If the pamphlet has a corporate author, write the name of the corporation who published it. If the pamphlet has no author, skip this step.

      Write the name of the pamphlet's title. Underline the title and type a period after the title. For example, you may write "Under the Sun."

      Type the city the pamphlet was published in and a colon after the complete location. It will look like "Los Angeles, CA:"

      Add the name of the publishing company, followed by the year the pamphlet was published, and a period. For example, type "Fairfield Publishing Co., 2009."

      Complete by adding the word "Print." Your final citation will look like, "Frazier, Bryan. Under the Sun. Los Angeles, CA: Fairfield Publishing Co., 2009. Print."
