Workforce Solutions offers GED training assistance, aid with writing, math and reading skills and with English language improvement. The center also offers career assessments and career training, and help in resume preparation. Child-care location assistance is available. The center is open from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday-Friday, and assists the counties of South Liberty, Chambers and East Harris.

Lee College offers an Adult Education Program, which includes GED prep, referred to by the program as Adult Secondary Education. The curriculum includes assistance with basic skills in math, writing and reading; a training program for those in first through eighth grades; and programs for those on the high school level. English assistance is offered for those in need of second-language training.
The Adult Education Program courses are offered on a regular basis for a fee. Basic skills training courses, as well as English as a Second Language (ESL) courses, are free of charge. The center is also a testing site for both English and Spanish language test-takers.

The Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District offers General Education Development testing assistance within its program specified for Migrant Education. Migrants are classified as those who have migrated to the area to locate employment, and/or those who work in the fishing and farming industries. Participation is open to those who are high school age but currently out of school and their parents. English as a Second Language classes are offered, as well as counseling services and computer assistance.
