At the North Country Community College Massage Therapy Program of New York, $500 student grants for massage therapy are offered for new and returning students. Students must demonstrate excellence and understanding of massage and maintain a 2.5 GPA. Applications must include information about future goals, financial aid and high school transcript release statements and contact information for three references.
While there are not government grant packages designed specifically for massage therapy students, they should be considered an important component of any overall financial aid package because of broad availability. By completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) massage therapy students may qualify for a number of government-issued grants including the Federal Pell Grant, which is $5,550 per year. Students must check to see if their chosen training institution qualifies them for government grants.
