The RN-to-BSN program at the University of California Los Angeles, one of the highest-ranked institutions of higher learning in the United States, takes remarkably longer to complete than those of APU and SDSU. Comprising 180 credits---three to four times the amount of units needed for the two aforementioned programs---UCLA's RN-to-BSN can take four years and two summer semesters to finish. The university, however, offers up to a 74-credit transfer in prior coursework for its candidates.
