How to Test Your Data Entry Speed

10 Key Tutor

  Log onto the 10 Key Test page on the 10 Key Tutor website.

  Click inside the “Click Here to Start Timer” box. The timer for the data entry test will begin.

  Start typing in the values on the left side of the “10 Key Test” box.

  Click “Test Me!” when you've finished. The results for the data entry test will appear.

Test My Typing

  Log onto the Ten Key Test page on the Test My Typing website.

  Click on the larger drop-down box on the page. Choose one of the tests. The three available tests have different numerical values.

  Click on the smaller text box and select a time limit for the data entry test.

  Click on “Start Typing Test.” The first value you need to type will be highlighted in blue font.

  Start typing the blue value to begin your typing test. Continue with the test until the time limit you selected in Step 3 expires. Your results will appear on the screen once the time limit expires.

Learn 2 Type

  Log onto the Learn 2 Type website and open the data entry test.

  Click inside the “Click Here to Start Timer” text box to begin the test.

  Enter the values to the left of the text box exactly as they are listed. Do so until you've finished the data entry exam.

  Click on “Test Me.” Your results for the data entry test will appear on the next page.
