Create an account on the MBA.com website, which is the official website of the GMAT test. Creating an account is free of charge. Then log into the website using your newly-created log-in and password.
Find an appropriate test center on the MBA.com website using the search tool provided in the Resources section of this article. You can find GMAT test centers worldwide.
Schedule an appointment for your GMAT test using the link in the Resources section of this article. Most test centers use a computer-based version of the GMAT and allow you to take the test all year round. However, test centers in developing countries may still use a paper-based version of the test. You can only take paper-based GMAT tests at one of two bi-yearly sessions.
Pay for the testing fee using a credit or debit card, a check or a money order. As of March, 2011, the testing fee for the GMAT is $250 worldwide.
Bring a valid piece of identification and your appointment confirmation email or letter, as well as the names of the schools where you would like your GMAT test results sent.
Leave any electronic item such as cell phones, PDAs or MP3 players in the locker outside the testing room.
Take the actual GMAT test. The test consists of a series of multiple choice questions divided into three different categories: analytical writing, quantitative and verbal skills. The computer will automatically adjust the difficulty of the questions according to your previous answers.
