Grants for GED Preparation Programs in North Carolina

The GED test is administered worldwide by the American Council on Education. In North Carolina, the general educational diploma is awarded by the state board of the North Carolina Community Colleges System. Each community college is an official GED testing site.

GED preparation programs are provided by community colleges, community organizations and other sources. Foundations may support GED preparation programs as part of workplace development projects, literacy projects or higher education initiatives.
