Harassment Training Resources

Since 2005, harassment training, also known as workplace sensitivity training, has been government-mandated in California for businesses that employ 50 or more workers. Federal law has banned workplace discrimination since 1964. There are two general types of workplace harassment: quid pro quo, when an employee must submit to harassment in order to keep his position or be promoted, and hostile work environment harassment, where there is a general abusive or offensive atmosphere in a workplace which affects the employee's performance. There are a variety of free and fee-based training resources available for preventing harassment in the workplace.
