Vocational and Trade Schools in New Hampshire

Vocational and trade schools offer training courses and programs for individuals who want to improve their skills or change careers. The courses or degrees these schools offer generally take less time to complete than regular college degree programs.



New Hampshire is home to a variety of trade and vocational schools that offer many different career-oriented programs.
  1. Hesser College

    • Hesser College, in Manchester, offers high-quality, student-oriented, professionally focused and affordable learning experiences to its students. The main campus is located at the Hesser Center of Commerce and Education, which has various amenities and facilities for its students--a bookstore, computer laboratory, childcare center, restaurant and local television stations, to name a few. Hesser offers various academic programs in allied health, arts and sciences, business, criminal justice, design, education and legal courses.

      Apart from its main campus in Manchester, Hesser College also has additional New Hampshire campuses in Concord, Nashua, Portsmouth and Salem.

    Dover Career Technical Center

    • Dover Career Technical Center's campus is located at Dover High School. The center's mission focuses on giving students the skills they need after completing high school. Students gain learning advantages such as hands-on, laboratory-based training, and a business and industry certification. Its career technical education program includes animal science, automotive collision and technology, biotechnology, business management, computer technology, cosmetology, culinary arts and pre-engineering.

    Manchester School of Technology

    • The Manchester School of Technology plays an integral part in Manchester's public school system. It offers various career programs to high school students in the area. According to the school's website, its mission is to provide a "safe, healthy, nurturing and respectful environment," in which students can acquire knowledge and skills to become successful and productive citizens.

      MST offers many programs, including applied business management, finance, automotive technology, culinary arts, design communication, graphics design and publishing, landscaping and horticulture, health science technology, education and video production.
