    Rio Salado College

    • Located 15 minutes east of Phoenix, the dental hygiene school of Rio Salado College requires students to have a high school diploma or GED, a current CPR card for Health Care Provider---which must be maintained through the program---immunity and health declaration from a licensed health care provider and a negative drug test. Graduates will receive an Associate in Applied Science degree in dental hygiene, which requires between 98 and 102.5 credits and has a minimum GPA of 2.00. The coursework features in-class academic work as well as clinical training.

    Mesa Community College

    • Mesa Community College is located 25 minutes east of Phoenix. Its dental hygiene program offers intensive scientific oriented studies. Students are required to have a high school diploma or GED, a pre-requisite coursework GPA of 3.0 or higher with a pre-requisite science coursework GPA of 3.25. Students will gain experience in the field and at the end of the program are awarded an Associate in Applied Science degree in dental hygiene, which qualifies them to take board examinations as well as apply for licensing.
