    • The University of Washington School of Dentistry offers extensive dental academic programs covering hygiene, public health sciences, diagnosis and treatment of teeth or gum diseases, teeth replacements and braces, patient care, oral surgery and pediatric dentistry. Students may earn a bachelor's, master's or a doctorate degree, depending on the academic subjects they are studying. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, take the Dental Admission Test (DAT), and complete required science courses before applying for the Doctor of Dental Surgery Program.

    Eastern Washington University

    • Eastern Washington University's dental program offers a bachelor's or master's degree in dental hygiene. According to the website, baccalaureate students may enter dental fields in education, research, sales or management. Admission requirements for the master's program are an undergraduate 3.0 GPA, licensure and a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene, CPR certification, completion of the statistics course program, Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores, a written essay and a clear criminal background.

    Clark College Dental Hygiene Program

    • The Dental Hygiene Program at Clark College requires an application fee and offers various courses. Students may take classes or labs in dental hygiene subject areas such as public health, anatomy, hygiene techniques, oral medication, restorative dentistry and periodontics, the study of treating teeth or gum diseases. Some of the classes require an additional fee to tuition.

    Carrington College

    • The dental program at Carrington College offers training in dental assisting. A dental assistant helps the dentist provide oral health care to his patients as well as complete administrative tasks for him. The curriculum prepares students to pass the X-ray certification test. All applicants, regardless of the subjects they wish to study, must be at least 17 years old with a high school diploma, be interviewed and complete admission testing.

    Northshore Dental Assisting Academy

    • The Northshore Dental Assisting Academy is a vocational school, running classes during the mornings and afternoons on Fridays and Saturdays. Students are trained in dental assisting, dental jargon, anatomy, impressions, crown making and radiography, as well as rubber dam placement, a technique using a latex sheet to cover the teeth from contamination. In addition, students receive instruction in AIDS training, CPR and First Aid certification.
