Environmental Due Diligence Training

When companies engage in projects that could potentially affect the environment, the project must go through an environmental due-diligence phase, where it is determined whether the project complies with all relevant environmental laws and regulations. To ensure full compliance, it is recommended that some employees undergo environmental due-diligence training.
  1. Laws and Regulations

    • Key statutes involved in due-diligence training include the Clean Air Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and the Clean Water Act. It is also important to ensure that the project complies with state and local regulations, which often govern air emissions, water emissions, and hazardous waste management.

    Training Topics

    • Training topics in environmental due-diligence courses include, but are not limited to, environmental risks, asbestos and lead-based paint, septic systems, drum storage, leaking transformers, and site visits.

    Courses

    • Courses are offered both online and in person. These include EBI Consulting's Environmental Due Diligence Training Session and Common Ground University's Environmental Due Diligence Principles & Practices online course.
